Andy Ruiz Jr has claimed his ex-wife stole his world championship belt following their split.
The former heavyweight champion realised his dream in 2019 when he stunned Anthony Joshua in New York, dropping him four times and causing one of the biggest upsets of all time.
Ruiz’s win earned him the IBF, WBA, WBO, and IBO titles.
Six months later an out-of-form Ruiz suffered a defeat in the rematch, as AJ outboxed him to earn redemption via split decision.
And since then he has struggled to impress, picking up wins over Chris Arreola and Luis Ortiz before drawing with Jarrell Miller earlier this month.

Ahead of his bout with Miller, Ruiz discussed the difficulties he has faced in his personal life outside of the ring.
These reportedly include taking out a restraining order against ex-wife Julia Lemus after she accused him of pointing a gun at her and sexually assaulting her – allegations which Ruiz has denied.
And he has now claimed the split with his wife includes stripping him of the world title she won against Joshua.
while talking to DAZN“I have a few belts, but they stole everything after my breakup and all that,” he said.
“About $1 million worth of jewelry and my belts. He even took my championship belts.
“I know that for sure because he stopped me from moving out of the house I had bought, and all my belts, my jewellery were there.
“She knew the combination to my safe and everything. So she literally finished me off.
“I didn’t care about jewellery at the time. I was like, ‘You know, forget it, it’s just material things.’
“But the championship belt hurt me a lot.”
Ruiz and Julia have two sons – Andy Ruiz III and Richie – and three daughters – Bella, Emily, and Andeliz.
