ANTHONY JOSHUA likely won’t get another chance against Oleksandr Usyk – and will face a “bigger” fight instead.
AJ lost the unified heavyweight world title to Usyk in September 2021 and lost the rematch 11 months later in Saudi Arabia.
Usyk, 37, defeated Tyson Fury, 36, in May to become the first four-belt undisputed heavyweight champion.
But he was forced to vacate the IBF belt for a rematch with Fury on December 21 in Riyadh.
Daniel Dubois, 26, has been promoted from interim champion and will defend his title against Joshua, 34, at Wembley on September 21.
If AJ and Fury win it will be a blockbuster British grudge match for all the titles.
But Saudi boxing chief Turki Alalshikh plans to propose the fight go ahead regardless of the different outcomes.
Alalshikh told talkSPORT“If Joshua wins it will obviously be a huge fight for the business.
“This is his third time winning a world title and it will be a massive fight after the result of Usyk vs Fury.

“But you don’t know about the future. Imagine Tyson wants to retire after the fight with Usyk.

“I will make him an offer, but if he refuses, what can I do? First of all, Dubois has a huge chance and it is not easy.
“I think it’s a tough fight for Joshua and a dangerous fight for Joshua. If Usyk wins, I still want to see Fury vs Joshua, if they accept.
“I wouldn’t try to get a third fight (between Usyk and Joshua) done before the Fury vs Joshua fight. I think Joshua will win (against Dubois), but you don’t know.
“I picked Deontay Wilder against Joseph Parker and Zhilei Zhang, and he lost. That’s boxing, especially heavyweight.
“But I want to see Fury vs Joshua and the world wants to see Fury vs Joshua.”
