Amir Khan revealed he is secretly trying to set up an exhibition match with Manny Pacquiao – who he claimed “looked really cheap in his last fight.”
Khan was sent into painful retirement in 2022 after losing his bittersweet match against Kell Brook.
He is currently serving a two-year ban after testing positive for a banned substance before his defeat in the Brook case.
But Khan, 37, said he did not intentionally take the banned substance.
Meanwhile, Pacquiao, 45, retired after his loss to 38-year-old Yordenis Ugas to focus on his 2021 presidential campaign in the Philippines.
But following this setback, the eight-division champion has talked about a comeback and has taken part in exhibition bouts to prepare.
Her last fight against 6ft kickboxing champion Rukiya Anpo in Japan went on for three rounds with no winner.
Khan – who is also keeping an eye on Floyd Mayweather – took a dig at Pacquiao while the two were exchanging messages backstage.
he told Action Network“Manny looked bad in his last fight, very bad. Manny wouldn’t want to fight me, and I like that.
“We talk on WhatsApp. They are expecting big money from Saudi, Qatar or Dubai but it will be difficult because obviously Saudi and Turkish Alalshikh will never do an exhibition fight.

“If that happens and I ever consider playing an exhibition match, it will be in the next 12 months, otherwise I will retire from the game.
“I’m 90 per cent out of the sport anyway, I don’t have any love for boxing anymore.
“I only need Manny or Floyd Mayweather to motivate myself.”
Mayweather, 47, is also a boxer who has officially retired from boxing but continues to participate in exhibition boxing after retirement.
The undefeated American boxer has been challenged by the likes of YouTuber-turned-boxer KSI, 31, who wants to take on Khan.
But Khan said: “I don’t think I would do it unless there was a fight with Floyd Mayweather. There are only two fighters I would come back for, either Floyd or Manny Pacquiao.”
“Other than that, no, I’m not interested. I won’t fight KSI. The thing is, I’ve done it at the highest level and I don’t have the passion anymore.
“God is kind, I am financially strong, also involved in other things like property and spend half of my time in Dubai and the UK, as well as visiting the US. I am busy with many things.”
