This is a fight between two legendary boxers at different stages of their careers.

And as is usually the case with big fights, opinions are divided as SunSport tells you what those around boxing think.

Joe Joyce

The 2016 Olympian shared the ring with both men during sparring at Team GB’s Sheffield headquarters, while defeating Dubois in 2020.

and Joyce pointed out Queensberry Promotions and added: “I was initially going with Joshua but I don’t know, Dubois is coming forward.”

Oleksandr Usyk

The Ukrainian knocked out AJ twice and stopped Dubois in nine rounds – making him an expert judge.

And Usyak told Boxing King Media: “My favourite is Anthony Joshua but I’m really bad at predicting. But I would predict Anthony Joshua.”

Francis Ngannou

The former UFC champion suffered a brutal KO defeat to Joshua in March, while just five months earlier he suffered a decision loss to Tyson Fury.

Ngannou said: “Even though Joshua lost twice against Usyk and Dubois fought Usyk and almost knocked him down and almost won, I would still give this award to Joshua.”

Vidal Riley

The cruiserweight prospect beat Dubois in the amateurs and later sparred with him – but he’s backing his manager AJ to get the job done.

He said: “I believe A.J. will win by knockout in five rounds. It will be a blistering start, but A.J. is more refined in his technique.”

Dillion Whyte

The former world title challengers beat Joshua as amateurs but lost the rematch professionally in 2015.

and he told talkSPORT: “AJ is saying he’s a weak player and there are people doubting him, I don’t think anyone doubts him, I don’t think he’s a weak player. Dubois is saying the same thing.

“I think it’s one of those fights where it’s really a 50/50 fight in my opinion.”

Lennox Lewis

Britain’s last undisputed heavyweight champion explained talkSPORT: “(Joshua) has been through bigger fights than this. Twice against Oleksandr Usyk.

“The only thing is, Daniel Dubois was the only one of the two who knocked Oleksandr Usyk to the floor.”

Frazer Clarke

The Olympian took both bouts – despite being dropped by Dubois – but Joshua still got the edge.

Clarke said: “As powerful as Dubois is and as good a fighter as he’s becoming, I’d still have to go with Joshua.

“This is not due to any bias, but it is my professional opinion that Joshua’s experience and fighting intensity are something that AJ has more in common with than Dubois.”

“Because I don’t know if you saw Dubois’ last fight with Hrgovic, to be honest, he took the blows, but you can’t take the blows against AJ.

“He ate about seven or eight right hands, and you can’t physically deal with AJ taking those.”
