Dana White has issued a defiant statement on the “conspiracy theories” surrounding the cancellation of Conor McGregor’s comeback fight.
The MMA superstar was scheduled to make his long-awaited return to the main event later this month. ufc 303 in Las Vegas.
But last week the Irishman’s clash with Michael Chandler was officially cancelled after it was revealed he had suffered an undisclosed injury during training.
Although UFC officials and McGregor himself have confirmed the injury, sensational claims are being made on social media that Notorious is unharmed.
There have been numerous unfounded suggestions on social media that McGregor withdrew from the fight to create pressure in ongoing contract negotiations with the UFC.

“He’s very strong at the moment when it comes to injuries.
“Conor McGregor is injured at the moment. It (the injury) is absolutely real.

“He’s never done anything like that.”
SunSport has learned the UFC are working around the clock to finalise a new date for Mack’s return.
August 31 is the frontrunner, although a return in September is also a possibility.
But White has offered to book Chandler – who hasn’t fought since November 2021 – in a separate fight if he doesn’t want to wait for McGregor.
He said: “I think poor Chandler wants to wait for Conor McGregor.
“But he can do whatever he wants. If he wants to fight, it’s up to him.” HeatWe will do whatever he wants.
“He’s one of the greatest athletes I’ve ever worked with.
“He is a good person.
“I like him a lot. Whatever he wants to do, we’ll find a way for him.”
