Ben Whittaker will be back in action tonight and will face Ezra Arenyeka – the same man who intruded on his press conference earlier this year.
Whittaker is one of the most promising prospects in British boxing and has shone as a professional so far and has been given the chance to showcase his skills at Selhurst Park.
As an amateur, Whittaker won a silver medal at the Tokyo Olympics – but he refused to wear the medal during the ceremony.
Since joining the paid ranks he has caused controversy in the ring due to his flamboyant style and has been accused of disrespecting opponents with his antics.
But no one has been able to defeat him yet, although one person feels he has the means to do so.
Arenaka disrupted Whittaker’s final pre-fight press conference and vowed in front of dozens of spectators that he would beat the Briton – and the pair clashed again at the weigh-ins.
Now he has the chance to take part in a huge summer show in South London.
