Anthony Joshua is set for a rematch with Daniel Dubois.
AJ’s career was left in limbo after he was knocked out in five rounds by Dubois in front of a British record 98,000 fans.
But Joshua then stressed that this is not the end of the journey towards retirement.
He has one contracted fight remaining with Saudi Arabian boxing supremo Turki Alalshikh and Riyadh Season.
Joshua met with promoter Eddie Hearn and Alalshikh to chart out his future just days after his brutal defeat.
And Hearn revealed all parties are set for a blockbuster rematch.
He said talkSPORT“Rematch clauses come in many different forms.
“We are faced with the Riyadh season. One of our options is to rehire Daniel Dubois, and we have a contract with him.
“His Excellency (Turkiye Alalshikh) will deal with Frank and Daniel and make that fight possible. The terms have to be agreed with them.

“We have already agreed our terms, we have the option of having a rematch with Dubois.

“In our meetings with His Majesty, he wants a rematch. AJ will always want a rematch.
“Daniel wants a rematch as well, it’s the biggest fight for him and they would love it.
“It’s a case of going away and talking about, will we go straight into a rematch? And when will that be?
“It was a heavy night at the office, we’re not going back to fighting in 10-12 weeks, he needs time to rest and recover.”
Tyson Fury, 36, will rematch 37-year-old Oleksandr Usyk on December 21 following his win in May.
And both Joshua, 34, and Dubois, 27, were considering waiting for the result and then challenging the pair.
But promoter Frank Warren – who promotes Dubois – has opened the door for a rematch with AJ which could take place in February.
Warren pointed out TNT Sport: “I’m not against it at all. For me it’s not an open door, I’ll open the door and we’ll do it.
“That fight is there. If they want it, they will get it, they want it with all their heart. Their next fight is in February.
