Arne Slot has now revealed how much interest he received from ‘a few Premier League clubs’ ahead of his move to Liverpool.
The 45-year-old admitted he has opted to stay with Feyenoord and sign a contract extension rather than leave the company in 2023.
“I think these moments are always very private because no one needs to know about it. So when you first hear that Liverpool is interested in you, you should keep it between me and my wife,” Former AZ Alkmaar boss explains liverpoolfc.com,
“I always knew it would be a great club where I would leave Feyenoord, and it was both Liverpool and the league.
“I think a year ago I was of interest to a few Premier League clubs, but I decided to extend my interest there with the idea of staying at Feyenoord for two more seasons.”
The Dutchman has signed a three-year deal with the Reds that will see him at Anfield until the summer of 2027.
