Caroline Dubois still hasn’t fully watched brother Daniel’s stunning victory over Anthony Joshua amid family feud.
Undefeated Caroline moved out of the family home after a falling out with her father and former mentor Dave – also known as Stan.
And the lightweight prospect is so focused on his career that he didn’t even attend brother Daniel’s world title fight with AJ.
he told seconds out: “I didn’t see it but I saw the finish, the stoppage and the knockdown.
“And from what I heard and what everybody was saying, as you said “fantastic” – it was a first to fifth, fifth round defeat.”
Caroline is one of Steyn’s 11 children, with her younger brothers Prince, 20, and Solomon, 12, also being amateur boxers.
And she was once part of a tight-knit family under the guidance of her influential father.
But due to a dispute the family split up, Caroline had to move out of the family home and be trained by coach Shane McGuigan.
Meanwhile, older brother Daniel went his separate ways to join Don Charles, whom McGuigan had recommended to dad Stan as the new cornerman.
But such was the nature of the bitterness that Caroline lost touch even with Daniel, who was coming off the biggest win of his career.

She said: “I don’t talk to him anymore.”
Caroline believes that moving out of the family home for independence is what caused the rift with her father.
She opened up: “My father has a total of 11 children, he has seven children with my mother, and I am the middle child.
“One thing you know about the middle child is that sometimes they are overlooked and they don’t get that attention and they have to fight for it.
“My father was only paying attention to boxers and boys. He didn’t really pay attention to girls, by his own admission he didn’t even pay attention to my sisters.
“And so I think as a little kid, you look at it and think, ‘Okay, what can I do?’ And I said, ‘I want to box.’

“I bullied him, I bullied him and he saw, ‘He really has a fire inside him that’s different from his brothers.’ My dad put Daniel into boxing, but with me, I asked for it.
“I think he just wanted me to be a certain way. But I was nine years old and I’m growing.
“I went to school, my brothers didn’t go to school. I was in the GB team, I went to the Olympics because I was a good amateur.
“I used to travel a lot. You know, I went to Buenos Aires, Argentina, I went to Bulgaria, Serbia.
I don’t talk to him anymore.
Caroline Dubois on Brother Daniel
“I traveled everywhere and I think it helped open my mind, helped change me, helped change my perspective.
“I saw how other people treated their children and my mind opened up. I saw what was acceptable and what I wanted to accept. My boundaries became bigger.
“And I remember I came to a conclusion for myself, ‘Who am I boxing for?’
“When I suffered my first ever amateur defeat, I had fought 60 fights, never lost a single fight, I lost for the first time and it was the most heartbreaking moment.
“I remember crying for days. I wasn’t experienced and I wasn’t getting support. One thing my father was honest about was that he stopped supporting me when I was 16 Was.
“With boxing, he stopped taking care of me and supporting me and stopped pushing me because he didn’t like the way I was changing.
“As he says, I was becoming more independent and I wanted more for myself. And I was just thinking, what am I doing this for? It was like a penny-drop moment.
‘I’m leaving the house, I’m going out’
“I was like, ‘I’m doing this for me, I’m doing this shit for myself.’ I am not dying, gaining weight, sweating, not eating for days and as a woman I am not even menstruating.
“I’m not doing it for another person who couldn’t care less. I’m doing it for me, I’m doing it for my future.
“I made that decision. And it started getting very toxic and very bad in the house. He kept saying, ‘Why can’t you be like Daniel? You need to be like him.’
“I can’t be like them and I wouldn’t want to be like them. And that’s no disrespect, but we’re different people. It was a decision I had to make, I talked to my brothers and sisters about it Was .
“I said, ‘Okay, I’m leaving the house, I’m going out. And he said, ‘Okay, I want to come with you.’
“My younger brother and sister, they both went with me. So we left the house and the same thing happened.
“My dad is now saying he’s seen a change in her. He says he never liked women’s boxing. It’s just BS. And that’s all I wanted to say.”
