Daniel Dubois’ coach gave him a 16-word message that helped inspire his shocking knockout against Anthony Joshua.
Dubois knocks out Joshua Four several times en route to his stunning fifth-round knockout in front of a British-record 98,000 fans at Wembley Stadium.
Head trainer Don Charles and assistant Kieran Farrell helped strategically defeat two-time champion A.J.
And Farrell revealed that as the bell rang for what was supposed to be the biggest night of the heavyweight’s career, he gave Dubois words of wisdom.
Farrell said boxingscene: “The first thing we said to Daniel was ‘Go out and give him something so he knows he’s in the ring with you’; That’s exactly what he did.
“He went out there and threw that jab down and that jab is like a backhanded hit. It is a powerful weapon.”
The 27-year-old Dubois floored the 34-year-old Joshua with a big right hand in the first round and the writing was on the wall from there.
AJ has stated his refusal to retire after the crushing defeat and has also discussed his next step.
And promoter Eddie Hearn revealed that Saudi boxing supremo Turki Alalshaikh has given the green light for a rematch with Dubois.

But Farrell, a former 14-1 boxer, warned: “If I was giving advice to Joshua, I wouldn’t tell him to jump back in with Daniel Dubois – a young, hungry, 27-year-old Lion.

“From what I see day in and day out, I know what he’s capable of, and Joshua does the same now.
“If Daniel hurts anybody, they won’t see the final bell. He’s a devastating puncher and I’m just talking facts here.
“He’s like a modern-day Mike Tyson. But a bigger version. There are other fights out there for Joshua. He could take the (Deontay) Wilder fight.
“This will be a good fight between two big names, both needing big wins right now.
A victory by either of them in that fight will give them loads of confidence.
“They’ve been together for a long time and now both are coming out losing. It would make sense to have this fight.”
