Reinier De Ryder admits he is happier in the UFC than at the end of his tenure with One Championship.

The fight proved difficult at the end of the former two-weight champion’s tenure with ONE, which was filled with long periods of inactivity.
However, now that he is in the UFC it couldn’t be further.

“This is it Good (To be proactive),” De Ridder said during an exclusive interview with SunSport. “After my last fight, five days later, we were talking about next Fight already.
“Which is unique. Normally even after five months, I would still be begging for a fight with ONE.
“So I’m very happy to be active. I’m very happy to be where I am.”
De Ridder’s second appearance in the octagon will see him face fan favorite Kevin holland,
Many expected the ranked middleweight to be RDR’s next assignment, given the way he emphatically dispatched Gerald Meerschaert in his debut.

However, the 34-year-old was offered a ranked opponent.
De Ridder revealed: “There was a rank person before. But he didn’t want that. So Kevin came forward.” I’ll keep my mouth shut on this one (who was the ranked middleweight).
“But I’m very happy with Kevin because it’s another name that’s very good. It’s going to be a very explosive fight.
“Because he’s going to do something wild on me.
“I’ll try to put a lot of pressure on him to try to get him out there early. I’m very happy with the match-up.”
De Ridder enters the UFC at the peak of his physical powers and is ready to attack the top-15 in the division.

And with a few wins, he could very well end up being the guy Netherlands‘Seven years of waiting to host a UFC event.
“It would be nice,” De Ridder said of the possibility of bringing the promotion back to its homeland. “It would be great, it would be amazing.

“But it’s also nice. It’s also nice to travel the world a bit and see some different places.
“So who knows, if I get some wins we can see if we can get them back to the Netherlands.”
