Boxer Ebanie Bridges has told the world that she is expecting her first child.
The Blonde Bomber hasn’t stepped into the ring since losing to Mio Yoshida last December, which cost her the IBF female bantamweight title.
The 37-year-old Australian has spoken to relatively few people since the crushing defeat and has made minimal public appearances.
But she made it to Newcastle on Saturday to watch her friend Ally Brooke headline Misfits Boxing’s 18th X Series event.
And upon arriving at the Utilita Arena she proudly showed off her womb, much to the surprise of some of her acquaintances.
YouTube Channel Boxing King Media Bridges’ pregnancy was revealed to the world, and she even met him briefly before taking the fight.
Motherhood is something Bridges has longed for, but she put it on hold to pursue her dream of becoming a world champion.

In an exclusive interview with SunSport two years ago he said: “It’s a battle I have to fight all the time, and it’s very heartbreaking.
“I want nothing more than to have a family and children. That’s very important to me.”

“I am at the peak of my career and now I want to stop and have a baby.
“Not only does it take me away for a year, it also makes it very difficult to have a baby with my partner at home.

“I can’t have a baby, then disappear and ask someone else to look after the baby and go to the UK for a few weeks while I’m at training camp.
“It’s not possible, it’s hard for me, it’s hard for my partner as well.
“But, I have to listen to my heart and believe that everything happens for a reason.
“I’m just praying that in a few years I’ll achieve what I want to achieve and then I’ll be able to go and have kids.”
Brooke earned a front row spot for her unanimous decision win over Jenny Savage, which saw her retain the Misfits women’s middleweight title.
