Eddie Hearn believes Jake Paul knocking out Mike Tyson would be a disgrace to boxing in the eyes of any true boxing fan.
YouTuber-turned-boxer Paul will face legendary heavyweight boxer Tyson on November 15, in which there has been a lot of controversy regarding the huge age difference between the two.
Further outrage erupted when Tyson was forced to pull out of the initial July 20 date because of a stomach ulcer.
But organisers – including streaming platform Netflix – turned a blind eye to rescheduling the bout.
Paul, 27, and Tyson, 58, are set to pocket a whopping $80million (£60m) as Netflix marks their first foray into live boxing.
So, while millions are expected to watch the fight – promoter Hearn fears it will hurt boxing’s reputation.
He told SunSport: “I don’t think any boxer really wants to see this fight happen.
“So they’re looking at it from a different perspective, they’re looking at it from a numbers perspective, they’re looking at it for publicity and I understand that. I understand that this quirky show could do some good numbers.
“But, I think if you really care about the sport and the history of the sport and especially the legacy of one of the greatest fighters of all time, it’s not something you would ever consider.
“But, I understand their strategy and business and if it succeeds in numbers, they don’t really care what it looks like in terms of empathy.

“I don’t think it’s something you’d see a real boxer get involved in.”
Tyson retired in 2005 after two disappointing losses and years of troubles outside the ring.
But by 2020, he had reformed and returned for an exhibition bout with Roy Jones Jr. — which was nothing more than a glorified contest.
We’re told that won’t be the case this time, as he’s preparing to take on Paul in a professionally sanctioned bout.
Both will be required to undergo drug testing, while Tyson will be required to undergo additional brain and heart testing due to his age.
Paul has a 10-1 record and is only tarnished by a 2023-point loss to Tyson Fury’s brother Tommy, 25.
And he plans to put love and respect aside and KO boxing hero Tyson – something Hearn and every other fan fears.
He said: “It’s a different world isn’t it? It’s a new generation.”
