Miller returned in 2022 and won three in a row, including a stoppage over former champion 43-year-old Lucas Browne last year.

But he was defeated by 26-year-old Britt Dubois last time out, while 34-year-old Ruiz is back after two years out.

The Mexican-American stunned Joshua, 34, in June 2019 but lost on points in their rematch six years later.

He beat 43-year-old Chris Arreola and 45-year-old Luis Ortiz, but had to take some time off because promoter Eddie Hearn predicted a tough fight with Miller.

Hearn told Matchroom Boxing: “I think this is a really tough fight for Andy Ruiz. It’s going to be absolutely action-packed.

“Jarrell Miller is always going to be on the front foot, always coming to fight, and Andy is a very sharp counter-puncher as well, but he’s been out of the ring for a long time.

“There’s going to be a lot of support for him in Los Angeles, but he has to have the hunger for this fight, otherwise, he’s going to lose to Jarrell Miller.”
