Eddie Hearn has branded a former undisputed world champion an “arrogant bastard” following a row over tickets.
The boxing promoter saw his star fighter Anthony Joshua lose to Daniel Dubois at Wembley Stadium on Saturday night.
Fighter Devin Haney was in London over the weekend and contacted Hearn for tickets.
And when he failed to get the ringside seat he had demanded, the American reacted angrily and protested on social media.
Haney, who he represented from 2019 to 2021, said: “Wow, I’m in London and Eddie Hearn won’t give me tickets to a fight but keeps mentioning me at every opportunity. Eddie is the fakest.”
Hearn hit back on social media, saying “You asked me this at 6am this morning. I’ll take care of my fighters first. Ask someone else and leave the ego behind.”

After this he was asked about the controversy. Interview with BoxingnewsHe revealed: “I got a message from him on the day of the fight saying: ‘I want tickets.’
“He messaged me 24 hours ago, saying ‘Yo.’ I had so much on my plate that I didn’t respond.
“When I responded on Friday night, he responded to me at 6 a.m.
“First of all, all the ringside tickets were already allocated by His Excellency (Turki Alalshikh), also we received requests from the fighters months in advance, which we resolved.

“We don’t have tickets, so I said you’ll have to ask Riyadh Season – got no reply.”
“Then I was sitting there on the show and he was saying: ‘Wow, Eddie Hearn didn’t get me tickets, he’s such a hypocrite.’
“I just replied and said: ‘To be honest, you’re an arrogant bastard.’”
Haney was the undisputed world lightweight champion for one year from 2022.
He lost to Ryan Garcia in his last fight in April, but the bout was declared a no-contest after his opponent tested positive for drugs.
