Danny Garcia is a former world champion boxer looking to win another belt – but he’s not the most famous face in his family.
Garcia – who beat British veteran Amir Khan in 2012 – was coached by his eccentric father Angel to titles in two divisions.

But neither are as popular as Angel’s twin daughters Ciani and Angelis Garcia – known as the rap duo Ciani Twins.
Garcia, 36, laughed and told SunSport: “They’re more famous than me!
“We come from a talented family, even my daughter is very talented, my daughter Philly, she has a lot of character, a lot of charisma. One day someone will see her talent too.
“Believe it or not, my sisters and I have similar fan bases, but their fan base is different from mine.
“So, like some of his fans don’t even know who I am. Some of my fans don’t even know who he is.
“But a lot of people know that we’re a family, so people know us as a family business and that’s why we’re all connected.
“We all love to book books together as our families because it makes us dream of becoming a successful family.”
“But for the most part, his fans are younger than me. They don’t even know who I am.”

Garcia helps promote his sisters’ music and has even worked on tracks with them.
The family even had their own reality TV show – which showcased the ups and downs that come with mixing family and business.
Garcia said: “Sometimes it’s hard. Sometimes it’s hard because my sisters are younger than me, 13 years younger than me.”
“So they won’t be able to see life completely the way I do. So sometimes we clash because we have different views.
“Even my father, we often clash with each other, we are always clashing with each other because we have different ideas and viewpoints.
“But we always sit down as a family, understand and try not to always hold grudges against each other and get angry at each other.
“So we learn how to work together and things like that.”

Garcia’s father, Angel, has become a star in his own right, known for goading his son’s opponents, and the two have once again been seen together in the gym.
Garcia said with a smile: “You know, my dad is full of energy. He’s the reason I love boxing so much.”
“He’s so passionate about it and when I do that, I know I’m making him happy, because he really just loves boxing.
“I tell them, look, we can’t keep fighting forever. So you have to learn to be happy outside the ring as well.”
“I love my dad, you know, he’s my best friend.”
Garcia had won the unified light-welterweight world title before moving up to welterweight and becoming champion once again.
But now he is challenging 41-year-old Erislandy Lara for the WBA middleweight belt In Las Vegas on the weekend.

“I won titles at 140, 147. I think all great fighters move up in weight and try to do something great. Try to do something for their legacy.
“So I think this is a fight where I’m trying to make big history by moving up a few weight classes and trying to put myself in the category of all the great champions who have done that for me.”
Garcia is back after more than two years, last defeating 32-year-old Jose Benavidez Jr. in July 2020 He broke down in tears after the victory.

The American bravely spoke about his mental health struggles outside the ring and his fight for victory in an emotional interview with interviewer Jim Gray.
Garcia explained: “It happened very naturally.
“He asked me how I was, and I told him how I was feeling at the moment and what I was going through, that was it.
“It all comes from the heart, without any script. Whatever I do, I do it from the heart, I never think anything in advance, I never do anything.
“Everything I do I do with a pure heart and passion.”
Garcia acknowledged he is now in the final chapter of his career, but vowed to end it as a three-division champion.
