Jake Paul is still trying to find his first MMA opponent – and could turn to some familiar boxers.
Paul has a 10-1 record in the ring, but he has signed with the Professional Fighters League to make his debut in the cage.
The YouTuber-turned-prize winner and the PFL are still considering their options as they are set to offer £10million to Nate Diaz.
Paul said: “We are yet to find a name. We have the money, we are ready to start work. We are ready to make offers to people.”
“It’s like they need to be able to push the sales and it needs to be a fight that looks like it’s my first MMA fight.
“So I think I can beat Nate Diaz in my first MMA fight. Of course it will be a tough 50/50 fight.
“But I don’t want to go into something where I’m going to get beaten, like fighting Khabib in my first MMA fight.”
Paul, 27, defeated former UFC star Diaz, 39, in a 2023 boxing bout but his calls for a rematch in MMA were rebuffed.
So he could turn to 39-year-old Jorge Masvidal or 42-year-old former UFC champion Tyron Woodley, whom he has beaten twice in boxing.
Paul said: “Nate Diaz, Masvidal, I would face in MMA and then I don’t even know who else is out there that would really make sense.

“Tyrone would definitely be interesting. I think it could be a good plan. It would be crazy.”

Paul lost a split decision to Tommy Fury in Saudi Arabia last year.
He is desperate to avenge that result and has even put together a £20million package to face 25-year-old Fury in both boxing and MMA.
Paul revealed: “I think it’s still up for discussion. So it could definitely be interesting. Me versus Tommy in MMA.”
The American boxer will return to the ring on November 15 for a controversial fight against 58-year-old Mike Tyson.
Thus, Paul’s MMA debut has been delayed even further, even though he has built a custom ring at his Puerto Rico gym.
He admitted: “I haven’t started training yet, boxing takes up most of my time and that’s what I’m focusing on until the MMA fight comes along.”
“Then I’ll focus on that, and if I fight MMA I’ll probably need an eight-month camp, just doing jiu-jitsu for eight months, and staying away from everything else.”
