KSI is set to take on two of boxing’s greatest ever – once he returns to boxing following a golf injury.
The YouTube, boxing and music superstar was scheduled to face Anthony Taylor and Slim Albahr in a two-on-one bout on August 31.
But KSI was forced to pull out of the competition after suffering a horrific hand injury – which he believes he suffered on the field.
He told SunSport: “I actually only started to feel it in mid-May. I honestly think it was through golf.
“But I started to feel pain between my fingers. I didn’t think much of it.
“I kept at it and sometimes it would get better. Sometimes it would just suddenly start hurting. So I got it checked out.
“I saw the doctor, he gave me an injection and I just kept going. Started camp, started throwing punches, started practicing.
“And then it got really painful, so much so that even the slightest touch would hurt me a lot.
“I was just rolling around, screaming. It hurt a lot. It got to a point where I looked at my trainers, and we all decided it wasn’t wise to fight
“I won’t be 100 per cent fit and yes, I will be able to train but if I can’t fight, if I can’t throw a punch, then I won’t be able to give the crowd my best.”

KSI, 31, last fought in October, where he suffered a controversial first decision loss to 25-year-old Tommy Fury.
But his handicap fight against former MMA star Taylor, 35, is planned to be rescheduled, and Slim, 30, has been ruled out.
Instead, KSI has his eyes set on retired greats Floyd Mayweather, 47, and Amir Khan, 37, with whom he has been linked in the past.
KSI said: “There are a lot of options. I know people put me up against Mayweather.
“It could be a really exciting fight. Especially since he beat my brother. I would like to avenge that.
“I can also compete with Aamir Khan and there are a few others who make sense to compete with and who excite me,” he said.
“So for now, we’ll see. Right now, my main focus is just to get back, keep punching.”
Instead of fighting, chart-topper KSI will perform for his fans at next week’s Misfits card at Dublin’s 3Arena, as well as commentating – his return to boxing has been postponed until 2025.
He added: “I expect that to happen in the first quarter of next year.”

“I think that’s what we’re working towards. I think it wouldn’t be appropriate to do it any time this year.
“And it’s one of those things where the longer I let it heal, the better it will be for the future, rather than trying to rush into a fight again and getting injured again.”
