KSI insists he will be ten times more ready for a rematch against Tommy Fury – having learned a lesson from his biggest mistake.
The boxing, music and YouTube superstar suffered his first in-ring defeat in October last year in a controversial decision against Fury.
KSI was scheduled to return this Saturday in a two-on-one bout against social media star Slim Albahr and former MMA fighter Anthony Taylor.
That was the case until he was forced to pull out due to a hand injury Due to which he also had trouble facing 25-year old Fury.
But KSI admitted that going underweight for last year’s 183-pound catchweight bout was actually his biggest mistake.
“I don’t want to make any excuses against myself and Tommy,” he told SunSport.
“I think – but this is my fault again – it was because of the weight. I should have fought him at a weight I was really comfortable with.
“We lifted 186 or 185 but I was struggling to even lift that weight.
“I’m in a position now where I’m happy to be at 185 and I’m not going to fight to get there.
“I remember when I had to measure my weight, I had to drink a lot of water just so I could get on the scale and get to 185.

“When I was fighting Tommy I was really underweight. Whereas now, you know, I decided to put on more muscle, get a little bigger and stronger.
“And I think if we had a fight again I would perform ten times better.”
KSI, 31, has ruled out a return to boxing until 2025 as he continues to recover from a hand injury.
He added: “I expect that to happen in the first quarter of next year.”
“I think that’s what we’re working towards. I think it wouldn’t be appropriate to do it any time this year.
“And it’s one of those things where the longer I let it heal, the better it will be for the future, rather than trying to rush into a fight again and getting injured again.”
KSI will still perform for his adoring fans at Dublin’s 3Arena, with tickets sold out – But on the microphone, not in the ring.
He said: “I always like to look for the positive in things. So when I got injured, I started thinking how can I still be part of this next Misfits?
“So I thought why not just perform. So I think my audience will still be able to see me performing to some extent, obviously not boxing, but doing music.
“And there will also be a chance to see me as normal. I will still be doing commentary during the show as well as singing some new songs and some old songs.

“So all-in-all, it’s going to be a great event. And that’s what I wanted to make sure was the case.”
