The long-awaited fight between UFC veterans Nate Diaz and Jorge Masvidal is set to take place next month, but there’s a twist.
Diaz and Masvidal, both 39, competed at UFC 244 in 2019, with the latter coming out on top to win the BMF (Baddest Mother F****r) title.
Many had called for a rematch between the two lightweight rivals, and their prayers have finally been answered, although it won’t be an MMA bout.
Instead, the American boxers will face off in a 10-round boxing bout.
Both boxers have boxed professionally only once in their entire career.

Masvidal stepped into the boxing ring in 2005 when he defeated Joseph Benjamin, while Diaz lost to YouTuber Jake Paul last year.
When will the Diaz vs Masvidal match take place?
Masvidal and Diaz will now face off on Saturday, July 6 at the Honda Center in Anaheim, California.
The bout was originally scheduled for June 1 but was moved to avoid a conflict with UFC 302.
The card is set to begin at 11pm BST time, with the main event expected to begin at 5am BST / midnight ET.
