Tyson Fury could turn his attention to another heavyweight super-fight following Anthony Joshua’s knockout loss to Daniel Dubois.

It looked as if the pair of British superstars were striking a deal for a double header from London to Saudi Arabia next year.

But Joshua suffered a crushing knockout defeat at the hands of Dubois – while Fury has yet to face Oleksandr Usyk again.

And with AJ out of the picture for now, the Gypsy King is set for an epic trilogy series with Usyk.

He said before the console release of the boxing video game obvious: “I believe this will be one of the great trios, me and Usyk, going back to those days, like Jack Dempsey and Gene Tunney.

“Those were great fights. And I believe that when I beat him again, I will definitely make a trilogy with him, 100 percent. It has to happen, one-on-one and then we will make a trilogy.”

Usyk, 37, became the first four-belt undisputed heavyweight champion in history when he captured Fury’s WBC belt and undefeated record.

But in order to proceed with their rematch, he was forced to vacate the IBF title, which the 27-year-old Dubois inherited after being promoted from interim champion.

And he sensationally KO’d Joshua, 34, in his first defense to advance Fury’s plans to face AJ.

Joshua has since held talks with promoter Eddie Hearn and Saudi boxing supremo Turki Alalshaikh.

And a rematch with Dubois – set for February – is already in the works.

But Fury, 36, still has his sights set on long-time rival Joshua and next up Usyk.

Anthony Joshua bravely picked himself up off the floor against Daniel Dubois – until he couldn’t anymore.

AJ was knocked down four times in five rounds by Dubois, before a powerful counter right closed the show in dramatic fashion.

Here, SunSport’s Jack Figg takes you through the Wembley battle, step-by-step.

As Joshua bounces, struggling to deal with a piston-like left, Dubois lands a quick jab.

Huge right hand from Dubois has AJ staggering backwards and his hands are down well past the opening bell.

The mistake costs Joshua as he circles with his hands down and is dropped by an overhand right.

round 2

Joshua – saved only by the bell after falling to the floor – struggles to move forward as he takes shots to the face.

AJ is staggering and staggering around the ring and his guard is again dangerously low and inviting pressure.

Joshua is trying to get back into the fight but his jab seems very slow – he doesn’t seem to have recovered from the loss.

round 3

AJ comes out with more intent but swings wildly with a right and only connects in the air.

Dubois applies the pressure and scores another knockdown by whipping Joshua into the corner.

The bell rings but Dubois lands a bar or two – again AJ is saved by the clock as the writing looks on the wall.

round 4

Disaster struck again as Joshua hit the floor once again – he lost his balance as soon as he touched the canvas.

The referee gives AJ another chance to fight and Dubois lands a bottom blow – giving the challenger some valuable relief.

As round four ended, Dubois slowed down and Joshua showed sensational resilience to hang in there.

round 5

Joshua lands a big right hand and buckles Dubois’ legs – a surprise upset looks likely.

AJ pins Dubois on the ropes and attempts one of his signature uppercuts but the countering right hand gets there first.

Joshua was caught on the chin, dropped once again and this time out for good. Dubois scored a surprise KO victory.

He said: “I’m looking forward to fighting Rabbit again in December and after that I would love to have a trilogy with him.

“Joshua, he knows he’s getting it.

“Even if we are 50, he will have to fight me. No one can escape this, he cannot escape me.

“Even if we’re 50, we’re still going to sell out Wembley. That’s a fact, and anyone can get that.”
