At Bayern, the current top issue has several levels. First of all, FCB first wants to get rid of one or two famous players from the current squad to focus on reinforcements. Above all, Matthijs de Ligt, in whom Manchester United has expressed interest, is a candidate for this. Leon Goretzka is also likely to leave FCB this summer if a substantial offer is received.
When it comes to new additions, there are currently two top topics: Jonathan Tah and Desire Doue. When it comes to a transfer fee, the court for Tah is probably still far away in the mind of the German international’s current club Bayer Leverkusen. In addition, De Ligt will probably have to go first so that the desired team position for Tah in the center of defense is actually free. For Doue, a French super talent for midfield, Bayern will probably have to fight a transfer duel with Paris Saint-Germain. Recently, a trend has been seen in favor of PSG.

The Moroccan is set to move to Manchester United. Bayern do not need any replacement if new coach Vincent Kompany plans to keep Joshua Kimmich in the right-back position. There you will have three players with Kimmich, Sacha Boe and Josip Stanisic.
Meanwhile, Bayern would probably also want to sell an attacking winger. Serge Gnabry and Kingsley Coman are considered the most likely candidates here. However, Gnabry reportedly wants to stay in Munich, while Coman is said to have recently rejected an offer from Fenerbahce.
The downside is that Bayern have not yet been able to release one or two well-known players from the current squad. This will probably be necessary to be able to achieve the remaining transfer targets. Also, they were unable to convince Xavi Simons to move to Munich; he joined RB Leipzig on loan again. And Dani Olmo, who Bayern were also reported to be interested in, will not come to FCB and will probably join Barcelona instead.
Still, Max Eberl and Co. have done a good job so far in terms of reach: With Michael Olise, they have signed a young, highly prolific player who brings the desired fresh blood on the offensive wing. In João Palhinha, they have also brought in a classic six-man that was sometimes missed last season – and in Hiroki Ito, a flexible defender who was recently injured in a friendly match.
Whether there is a real need for a position again depends on whether and, if so, who leaves Bayern. All that can be said at the moment is that a successor to Eric Maxim Choupo-Moting, who mainly plays the role of center forward backup for Harry Kane, would still be a good fit for the Munich team. AS Monaco’s Breel Embolo was discussed here a few weeks ago, but it couldn’t be more concrete than speculation.
