According to Reuters, Drake has amended its defamation trial against the Universal Music Group (UMG) after Kendrick Lammer’s Super Bowl Lix HafTime Show. Drake claims that the audience was inspired to believe that it was a pedophile due to Lamor’s performance in Lamor’s “Not Like US” at Caesar Superdome at New Orleans.
The lawsuit, which was originally filed on January 15, claims that UMG tried to target Drake by promoting Lammer’s hit song. In new changes, Drake’s legal team claims that UMG extended that issue with Lamor’s performance in Super Bowl, Which reached 135.7 million viewers,
In a live halftime performance, Lamor left the word “pedophile”, when singing “not like us”, but Drake said it was still the same effect.
“This was the first, and hopefully, the final, the super bowl halftime show, which is orchestrated to kill the character of another artist,” said Drake.
In response, UMG claimed that Drake was receiving poor legal lawyers in prosecution.
“Drake, uninterrupted, one of the world’s most accomplished artists with whom we have enjoyed a 16 -year successful relationship, Ising misled by cutting an absurd backward edge by its legal right -wing actors,” Umg said, said, per recite.
The Drake is demanding unintended damage in the trial, which has been rejected by UMG. Drake said that he wants UMG to “be responsible for his sick decisions.”
Since “Not Like US” was released on 4 May 2024, it shot the billboard chart and gave Lamar the Grammy Award.
