Thousands of golf fans are set to flock to Troon this week as The Open gets underway.
The 152nd edition begins on Thursday at Royal Troon, the tenth time the event will be held at the famous Scottish links golf course.
And the world’s biggest golf stars, including Tiger Woods, Rory McIlroy, Phil Mickelson and Scottie Scheffler – as well as Scotland’s Robert MacIntyre – are preparing to battle it out for the Claret Jug on one of golf’s most prestigious courses.
A total of 156 former champions, qualifiers and top-ranked players will take part in the four-day competition in Ayrshire.
And their supportive wives and girlfriends will be cheering them on from the sidelines.
