Cavan Sullivan could also play for Germany
Sullivan’s rise brings back memories of another Pennsylvania native who was always destined for big things: Christian Pulisic. The US international decided to leave his homeland and join BVB at an early age. There he became a child prodigy at the age of 17 And he was one of those child prodigies who was highly appreciated in America.
Pulisic arrived at Milan via Chelsea and is still only 25. He may not have reached his peak yet, although he has had a good season in a Rossoneri uniform.

Jim Curtin said of the two Philadelphia homesteaders across the street retreat, “They come from close to Philadelphia, so the comparisons are obvious. When I worked in the youth academy here, everyone was talking about Christian. I said then, ‘I don’t know. Let’s wait and see. He’s obviously incredibly talented. But he’s only twelve years old and he still has a long way to go.'”
He added: “I think Cavan stands out even more than Christian and gets more attention. That’s probably the best compliment I can give a young lad who has many years left in him.”
Theoretically, Sullivan could also spend part of these years in a DFB uniform. In any case, he would also be eligible to play for the German national team. Ernst Tanner revealed: “There were already observers from Germany. I have already spoken to representatives of the DFB about him. The Germans are lucky that his mother has German roots. But Cavan is American, he feels the same way.”
