RB Leipzig CEO Johann Plenge has commented on rumours surrounding midfielder Dani Olmo’s transfer. He made it clear that inadequate offers will not be accepted by the European champions.
“Dani is very respected and he is our player – and that will be the case even when we start training again after the USA trip and nothing will happen until then,” Plange explained. kicker,
On Olmo’s future, the 38-year-old said: “He played a very strong European Championship, so it was clear that other top clubs came knocking. Transfers are part of business and a source of income. But they are also just one of many. One thing is clear: we do not sell any player for a low price.”
FC Bayern are also said to be interested in Olmo, but recently they have been courting especially fc barcelona and Manchester City for the 26-year-old Spaniard, who is under contract at Leipzig until 2027. At Barca Olmo is said to be the absolute dream player of new coach Hansi Flick,
Olmo’s 60 million euro exit clause has now expired. If there is a change, RB will probably want to collect around the same amount. “We are under no pressure to sell,” Plenge insisted. “We plan commercially and also with transfer income, but if we don’t generate any income, for example because an offer doesn’t meet our expectations, we will simply have to generate other income.”
