Frank Warren is in a “very strange position”.
The Hall of Fame promoter watched as Daniel Dubois knocked out Anthony Joshua in the fifth round in front of a British record 98,000 fans.
Those involved in the historic number include Tyson Fury, who is now eyeing a fight with Dubois.
And the man in the middle? Their promoter, Warren.
He said, Boxing News: “Let me tell you frankly that if I do this, I will be in a very awkward position.
“I’m not going to lie about that. I have to deal with it. If they want it and the business demands it, it’s up to them.”
“It’s not something I would force. If an offer is made that makes a lot of sense and they want to do it then it’s up to them.
“We’ll see what happens. It won’t be my decision. It’s up to the fighters.”
Fury, 36, lost his WBC belt and undefeated record to 37-year-old Oleksandr Usyk in May after 45 minutes and 12 thrilling rounds.
But for the rematch on December 21, Usyk was forced to vacate the IBF belt.

The 27-year-old Dubois was promoted from interim champion and the 34-year-old Joshua was dethroned. Four multiple times before scoring a fifth-round knockout in his first defense.
This also ruins Joshua’s plans to fight Fury next year.
But Warren, who also promotes 19-year-old sensation Moses Itauma, remains in good shape.
He added: “We’ll see what happens in December, but there are a lot of options. The heavyweight division is very full.
“We are lucky in Britain. I think we have the best veterans in Britain.
“We have Tyson, Daniel, young Moses and others. There are great fights coming up.”
“Daniel will go where the money is. There are some big fights out there for him.”
