The French side should not be overlooked in the race for the Lille centre-half, according to Jonathan Johnson.
“My latest understanding about Yoro is that he will be allowed to leave Lille this summer, they will not stand in his way, there will be no new contract for him,” The Ligue 1-based reporter told CaughtOffside Daily Briefing,
“Obviously he will be hoping for a significant pay rise on what he is earning at the moment but given the type of club he has to choose from it is understandable that he would earn more than he did at Lille.
“I would also say that wherever he goes, there’s a good chance he’ll be in the starting XI.”
It has recently come to light, according to Johnson’s sources, that PSG have gained a slight lead in the race for the young centre-half.
“It’s clear that PSG have a huge opportunity with Yoro, although it’s worth noting that Luis Campos prefers the Portuguese market, and there are options in that pool of talent. Still, Yoro comes from the Paris region and that’s something that could be used to PSG’s advantage. My latest understanding is that PSG are no longer as far off as they were a few weeks ago in terms of being able to beat Real Madrid in the race for his signature,” the CaughtOffside columnist added.
“So, I wouldn’t rule PSG out in this match, but at the same time Premier League clubs will be keeping an eye on what happens next, especially amid the uncertainty with the French teams and the saga of the TV rights deal.”

Liverpool must make Lenny Yoro an offer he can’t refuse
A lot of this will depend on how well Liverpool are able to accommodate Yoro within their current wage structure.
Reports have revealed that Werder are reportedly willing to offer up to £133,000-per-week for the Frenchman to sign for Slot’s side.
In theory, the teenager would earn more than Ibrahima Konate and Andy Robertson – quite a statement for a man who many view as a generational talent.
If that is the case, and Liverpool don’t feel it will upset the balance in the dressing room, then we should do everything in our power to rival the footballing attractions of Paris, Yoro’s home town.
