Anthony Joshua has dropped down the Ring magazine heavyweight rankings after his loss to Daniel Dubois.
AJ was knocked out by a brutal right hand in the fifth round in front of a British-record 98,000 fans at Wembley.
This leaves Joshua’s career in limbo, meanwhile Dubois has never looked better – his ring ranking is a reflection of that.
AJ is shot seventh While Dubois is ranked second behind No. 1 challenger Tyson Fury and champion Oleksandr Usyk.
Joshua, 34, has dismissed talk of retirement after his defeat and is already preparing for a rematch against 27-year-old Dubois.
Meanwhile, 37-year-old Usyk will face 36-year-old Fury for the second time on December 21, following his undisputed title win in May.
But he was forced to vacate the IBF belt in order to proceed with the Riyadh rematch, which Dubois inherited after being promoted from interim champion.
Responding to the updated list, Fury posted: “Returning to number 1 on December 21st, 22 years and counting.”
Joseph Parker is third in the Ring rankings after five wins, including a win against Deontay Wilder.
In his last fight, the New Zealander defeated Zilei Zhang, who is down one place to fourth.
