Charley Hull has received a boost ahead of the Solheim Cup as she looks to help Team Europe to glory in the Americas.
The 28-year-old English star will face world No. 1 Nelly Korda in the opener of this year’s Solheim Cup, which begins in Virginia on Friday.
Hull has been known to smoke while on the course – a habit he said helps control his ADHD.
He claims he bought the cigarettes to quit vaping.
However, his hopes of winning gold at the Paris Olympics were dashed when he was banned from lighting the fairway.
She finished tied for 27th with a score of one over par.
But the smoking ban in the US will not be a problem for them this weekend, with skipper Suzanne Peterson confirming she will allow Hull to smoke on the course.
Previously she revealed how it helps her stay sober, saying: “I smoke on the course.
“It’s become a habit now, but I won’t do it this week (at the Olympics) because you’re not allowed to.
“I think it might have an effect on me, because smoking helps me relax a bit. But I have to concentrate even more on my golf.”

She also said: “I smoke too much. But listen, I will stop smoking soon.”
The United States has not hosted the Solheim Cup since Europe’s victory in Scotland in 2019.
Hull, who was part of the European team that won the Solheim Cup last year, has missed out on reaching major tournaments on three separate occasions.
She finished second at the 2016 Chevron Championship, the 2023 US Women’s Open, and the 2023 Women’s British Open.
Her best result in a major tournament this year came at the Women’s PGA Championship, where she finished tied for 16th.
Hall dated former Geordie Shore star Gaz Beadle for a few months earlier this year before they split in June.
