The two heavyweights have 30 days to reach an agreement for the compulsory encounter ordered.
Failing to do so will lead to WBO ordering purse bidding action.
This means a rematch with 27 -year -old Dubois, right now and perhaps for foresight.
The British Star was beaten by usyk in nine rounds in August 2023 – but only after the dispute and after a lower shock.
Dubois has since become the IBF champion, while its undefeated rival Gold owns the other three WBCs, WBA and WBO versions.
