Daniel Dubois vowed revenge on Anthony Joshua – after he threatened to smash a chair in his face.
At a press conference in June to launch Saturday’s spectacular match at Wembley, the pair were separated by security after 34-year-old AJ pressed a switch.

Dynamite Dubois, 27, heated up the mood by telling the two-time heavyweight world champion he was ready to fight right there.
And Joshua’s violent warning is still ringing in Dubois’ ears, as he plans to bring thunder and lightning to his opponent’s front door.
He added: “I have to make him pay the price for those words. I have to make sure I do something about it.”
“But the best place for me to do it is in the ring on Saturday night.
“I’m ready now to go out there and beat AJ up.
“I know I can live in dark places now. I have made those dark places my home now.
I no longer need to weather the storms – because now I am the storm.”
The dark spots Dubois is referring to are his losses to Joe Joyce and Oleksandr Usyk.

Both times, when the situation got too tough, he gave in and surrendered – and that earned him derision from armchair fans, while some of his award-winning peers called him a quitter.
Now under the tutelage of trainer Don Charles, on a farm overlooking the Wembley Arch under which he will fight, he feels innocent and dangerous.
And Usyk can be given some credit for that, as he consoled his defeated opponent after the 2023 Poland bout.
“Those words were true at the time. And I came back from it,” the IBF title holder explained.
“I needed to sort things out and now it’s all in the past – I’m a man of the future.
“I feel like I’ve freed myself now.”

A big part of DuBois’ arsenal is his giant father, Stan, who has 11 children.
Some people believe that he is interfering too much in his son’s career.
But, in his last two must-win fights against Jarrell Miller and Filip Hrgovic, Dubois Sr. has been the man Daniel turned to in his time of need and now he has the license and can officially stand by his side.
Daniel added: “My dad gives me extra encouragement. We are a partnership and a team – he knows which words affect me and help me.

Dubois burst onto the scene in 2017 as a teenage terrorist who laid waste to the nation’s greatest journeyman.
But he always looked like a boy with a giant man’s body and was difficult to interview.
He believes that everything is about to change now.
Dubois laughed and said: “I’m a man of few words. I say what I want to say in the ring with my fists.”
