Jake Paul is in behind the scenes talks with boxing chiefs over a chance to win a world title.
The YouTuber-turned-prizewinning boxer has a 10-1 record in the ring with his only loss coming via split decision against Tommy Fury in 2023.
Paul wants to fight Fury again but will first take on Mike Tyson in Texas on November 15 in what will be a controversial bout that will be scrutinised over the age difference.
But the outspoken American boxer still has big ambitions of one day challenging for the cruiserweight world championship.
He even had the support of WBA president Gilberto Mendoza to fight former super-middleweight champion Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. for a title shot.
And Paul is in the background talking to governing bodies to put himself in a position to fight for a gold medal in boxing.
“There’s definitely conversations going on behind the scenes,” he said at a Professional Fighters League event.
“I think Gilbert from the WBA wanted me and Julio Chavez to fight for a belt, like at the regional level.
“I don’t know what the belt will be exactly, but the conversation has definitely started.
“And after a few of these big fights, maybe the Tommy rematch or maybe Tyson, all of that stuff, then I’ll focus on the path to becoming a world champion.”

The WBC were willing to rank Paul, 27, if he beat Fury, 25, in their celebrity grudge match.
Additionally, he has worked with the WBO for their charitable boxing organization to further strengthen their relationship outside the ring.
Paul still has his eyes set on a rematch with Fury, having previously faced the 58-year-old Tyson, then his focus is on the title.
He added: “It’s just a matter of timing. I think it could happen late next year or early 2026.”
“But when the time is right, we’ll give it a try and see what happens.
“I think it also depends on the Tommy Fury fight and other big name fights that are coming up.
“There are discussions going on behind the scenes with some other big names. So it really depends on how those conversations progress.”
“So I think at the end of next year or the beginning of 2026 we will start targeting a sanctions body and then move up the rankings.”
