Undefeated cruiserweight king Jay Opetia has lifted the curtain on his three-day drunken bender ahead of his title fight against Jack Massey.

But the Australian bruiser insists “I earn my entertainment” as he wants to play a show in Saudi Arabia.

Opetaia and Massey will clash this weekend on the undercard of Dmitry Bivol vs. Artur Beterbiev.

IBF champion Opetaia has won all 35 of his professional bouts, with his latest win coming against Maris Briedis in May.

Messi will be his strongest opponent yet, with the Briton already holding the IBO belt.

Yet Opetaia is already dreaming about the party he plans to enjoy after defending his IBF crown.

Speaking exclusively to SunSport, Opetaia revealed that he regularly enjoys boozy sessions with mates throughout the weekend.

The lad from Down Under believes being out of rhythm in his younger days has helped him become one of the most exciting names in boxing.

But Opetaia insists he will “earn” his right to party after working hard ahead of Saturday’s clash with Messi.

Opatea, who is engaged to partner Kanesha Murray, told SunSport: “I’m from the Central Coast, New South Wales. There aren’t a lot of clean athletes out there!

“I think without those lessons in life and without doing those things, getting off the rails, I wouldn’t be where I am today, with the drive I have today.

“But you have to enjoy it. I train hard and work hard and when I feel like it, I’ll also party hard.

“But we earn our fun and that’s why we enjoy those parties and victories more because of how hard we earned them.”

Opetaia made headlines earlier this month when he took the oath live on Sky Sports before being told off by a presenter.

Opetaia previously said: “I thought once I won the world title it would fix all my problems.

“But unfortunately I had some run-ins with some dirty promoters and things don’t always work out as planned.

“I won the world title and woke up the same way the next day. You can’t eat the gold belt.”

The Sky Sports presenter quickly intervened, saying: “The broadcasting rules are a bit different here, you can’t swear. Apologies.”

But Opetaia continued: “It means something to me, I get excited. We’ve put in a lot of pain and sacrifice for this thing.
