But this beautiful place comes at a price

AEGAS Golf Course, just outside the village of Beauly on the famous North Coast 500 route, has been put up for sale.

The nine-hole course is described as a hidden gem by Golf Highlands, and was designed by professional golfer Bill Mitchell and opened for play in 1993.

There are four holiday cottages along the course, each with modern facilities including WiFi, as well as a courtyard garden and BBQ area.

The route meanders scenically through the Strathglass foothills, and in places the River Beauly flows alongside, adding to the tranquility.

The property also features a practice field and renovated clubhouse, which includes a starter office and a log burning stove in an open design, with hot drinks and snacks for sale.

Being located just 25 minutes from the city of Inverness, Aigas remains popular with locals and tourists alike.

So it’s within driving distance of some amazing Scottish tourist sites including Loch Ness, Fort Augustus and Aviemore.

And for the keen golfer there are several excellent courses on the NC500, including the famous Royal Dornoch. And just outside Inverness is the sprawling Castle Stuart.

Of course, such a prime location comes at a price.

It cost £1.5 million.

Aigas is being advertised for sale as a recreation facility, with the course, stable buildings and land all included.

The listing reads: “Unique opportunity to acquire an established 9-hole golf course with clubhouse, which is popular with locals and tourists alike.”

“Two adjoining agricultural fields, including barns and workshops, offer the potential for development, subject to the necessary consents.

“Four profitable and well presented holiday cottages, which have potential for use as owners/staff accommodation.

“This fantastic lifestyle opportunity offers an established 9-hole parkland golf course, clubhouse as well as four successful holiday cottages, stabling buildings and two agricultural fields.”
