EDGAR BERLANGA has called out Anthony Joshua – despite their five stone weight difference.
Berlanga is competing in the 12th super-middleweight division, while AJ is ranked 18th going into his last fight.
But despite the huge size disparity, Berlanga posted online: “I would love to move up to heavyweight and fight Anthony Joshua to test my greatness.
“There’s nothing wrong with that. I’ll walk into the ring weighing 210 pounds.”
Joshua, 34, lost to 27-year-old Daniel Dubois at Wembley by knockout four times in the fifth round.
Meanwhile, Berlanga, 27, lost to Mexican superstar Canelo Alvarez, 34, in a decisive 12-round contest.
The American player suffered his first defeat in his 23-match career.
Berlanga became a KO sensation by stopping all 16 of his opponents in the first round.
And his former Hall of Fame promoter Bob Arum compared him to heavyweight icon Mike Tyson.
He posted in 2020: “Edgar Berlanga Jr. is the greatest power-punching fighter I’ve seen since the heyday of a young Mike Tyson.

“When I see the incredible power of his punches from ringside I am absolutely amazed.”
Canelo was taken a long way by Berlanga despite the one-sided loss – but sees a bright future for the KO artist.
Berlanga said Swayze Universe: “After the fight, he told me I would be a world champion, and I would be a superstar.
“His family told me, ‘You will be the face of boxing.’”
