GOLF legend John Daly insists he has slowed down after drinking 20 cocktails ahead of a YouTube golf challenge.

The two-time major winner is back on the golf course with Bryson DeChambeau.

On his YouTube channel, DeChambeau has gained over 1.3 million followers, thanks primarily to his “Break 50” series.

A number of big-name celebrities are taking part in this ongoing series, including Donald Trump, Peggy Spiranac, Sergio Garcia, and Chris Pratt.

It sees DeChambeau, 30, and his guest attempt to break the 50-metre mark over 18 holes between two men, and Daly is the latest man to try his hand at the challenge.

However, during his visit, Daly revealed he had stocked his golf buggy with cans of his own brand of Good Boy vodka cocktails in an inbuilt fridge.

Later in the video — but early in the hour-long video — Daly was asked: “How crazy are you about Good Boys today.”

In response he said, “I started drinking at 9 am today, (so) it could be the 20th.”

“I have slowed down. I have slowed down a little bit because it is an important day. I am with my son and we are going to cross the 50 mark.”

Daly was also seen playing barefoot and smoking, before DeChambeau gifted him a box of cigars.

The 58-year-old responded, saying: “I just want to say, son, I love you. You don’t smoke cigars but take handmade Dominican cigars to your friends.”

Fans fell in love with Daly’s outspoken personality during the episode, which also saw him wear a hat with “HICK” written on the front.

Donald Trump showed off his golf skills with U.S. Open champion Bryson DeChambeau, quipping, ‘Do you think Biden can do that?’

One fan said: “Bryson trying to be serious and hit 50 while beer and golf shoeless Captain America is pulling balls out of beer cans… beautiful.”

Another said: “No shoes. Drinking wine. Shooting arrows. What a legend.”

A third said: “I really appreciate that Bryson quickly realised he was in Daly’s world and instead of focusing too much on him turning 50, he just reveled in it and enjoyed his time with him. Great episode!”

Another said: “Hot rod golf cart, booze in the frunk, Hooters bag, bare feet, ZZ Top beard, hick hat, cigarettes, beer belly, singing country songs, and two-time major champion. John Daly, a true legend.”

A fifth said: “Forget about breaking 50, you’re breaking the internet.”

A sixth said: “John Daly is the kind of person people read about in history books and think, ‘There’s no way this person really existed. Someone is making this person’s name up.'”

Daly has well-earned a reputation as a bad golfer during his impressive career.

He’s never hid his love for drinking or Hooters, and even promoted the infamous restaurant chain.
