Antony Joshua has shortlisted three potential opponents for his next fight, according to promoter Eddie Hearn.
The 34-year-old two-time heavyweight champion was soundly knocked out by Daniel Dubois in the fifth round of the Britons’ clash in front of a record crowd at Wembley on Saturday night.
The defeat put an end to Joshua’s hopes of becoming a three-time world champion and he suffered his fourth professional defeat after losing against Andy Ruiz in 2019 and twice against Oleksandr Usyk.
Since the fight, AJ has dismissed talk of hanging up his gloves.
And now Hearn has revealed the three men Joshua could face next as he looks to bounce back from a damaging defeat.
The options are a rematch with Dubois, a blistering fight with Tyson Fury, or a clash with a former world champion like Deontay Wilder.
However, he also said he might wait for the result of the rematch between Fury and Oleksandr Usyk on December 21.
while talking to IFL TVHe said: “If Fury had lost then maybe they (AJ and Fury) would both have said ‘okay, let’s greet the public one last time, two big fights, that’s it’.
“Or, if Fury wins, he could defend against AJ for the unified world heavyweight title and AJ could beat him and become a three-time heavyweight champion. Anything is possible.
“Or we could face Daniel Dubois again.

“Or he could fight someone else. Deontay Wilder. I don’t know, it hasn’t been discussed yet, but two guys that are coming off losses, big punchers, somebody has to go.
“But for me the options are – a rematch with Daniel Dubois or wait and see what happens between Fury and Usyk.”
Fury, 36, suffered his first professional loss to Usyk in May but they have a rematch clause in place for their December fight.
Dubois’ promoter Frank Warren has pushed for his man to pursue a rematch with Usyk after he was stopped by the Ukrainian last year.
Wilder, 38, has lost four of his last five fights, falling to Joseph Parker and Zhilei Zhang in succession.
