But more than just money, The American is confident he will win a world championship belt one day – Despite his lack of experience.

Paul is doing the right thing, constantly pushing his opponents and spending millions on his training camps away from the cameras.

His one loss out of ten fights came against 25-year-old Tommy Fury in February 2023, and since then his opponents have transformed from low-level boxers to MMA stars.

But behind the scenes, Paul is working hard and recruiting top-level partners and coaches.

For these reasons – as well as being able to fight whenever you want – Paul There is a possibility of astonishing progress in this game.

Steve Geffrard is a 21-3 former light-heavyweight world champion who is squaring off with Paul this year.

And Gaiffard told SunSport: “He’s come to the game late but he takes it very seriously.

“And on top of that, he has really good athletic ability. So he’s a great athlete. I think there are three things about him that can really help him go far.”

“One; his work ethic, his great work ethic, and then two; he has the resources, so he can pay for the best trainers, the best sparring, the best strength conditioning.

“He has physios who are with him 24/7, people working on his body, it’s good for longevity. And he can fight whenever he wants. There are world champions who can’t do that.”

Paul, 27, last fought in March, when he defeated 36-year-old Ryan Borland, 17-2.

That’s when the 33-year-old Gaiffard was first brought to Paul’s Puerto Rico training camp and was impressed with the reformed prankster.

He said: “I’ve been in camps with a lot of top champions and top fighters and I’ve spent my whole life boxing.”

“I’ve seen people with less ability than him get there and at least compete for a world title.

Muhammad Ali’s grandson reveals he turned down ‘money I’ve never seen before’ to fight Jake Paul and explains why

“This is boxing, anything can happen. You can’t rule anybody out.”

“He’s strong, he’s got good hand speed, he’s got great speed, the sky’s the limit for him, we’ve just got to see how far he wants to take it.

‘He could seriously hurt one of them’

“The way he’s training, I think he wants to go out there and compete for regional belts and possibly a world title someday.

“It’s going to be tough. It’s not going to be easy. But at least when he’s training, I can see what his mindset is.”

“He’s not going into training just to say, ‘Okay, I’m an impressive boxer.’

“He is training to eventually compete against the best, although he hasn’t selected those types of opponents yet.

“I think that’s what he really wants to be. Because he’s spending all this money and working out in the gym with these guys who are doing great things. He’s trying to get better.”

Paul will be back at the weekend Against 32-year-old Mike Perry, a former UFC star and now a bare-knuckle boxer.

The match was supposed to be against Mike Tyson, but the 58-year-old heavyweight icon withdrew from the bout due to health issues. The match was postponed to 15 November.

Perry will be Paul’s fifth opponent from an MMA background – a level of rivalry Geffrard believes he has outgrown.

He said: “Jake has to fight off these people because his name is what attracts them.

“But I think he’s past that point. I think he’s at the point where he could seriously hurt any of those people.

“That’s my opinion and it’s largely a compliment, I congratulate him because I think he can now move on and start competing against some other boxers, real boxers.

“I’m not saying he can go and fight for a world title right away. But I think he’s so good that he doesn’t need to fight any old UFC fighter.

“I think he has improved a lot and he has good power. Even if you are a very experienced fighter, you can’t really go out there and sleep on him because he has enough power to hurt you.

“You still have to do the same – even though he doesn’t have as much experience – you still have to mind your p’s and q’s. He’s a dog.”

Geffrard was training with Paul ahead of his return and does not expect Perry to make the scheduled eighth and final round.

He predicted: “I expect a knockout.”

“Unless he goes out looking for it, I think it will come, probably around four o’clock, maybe in the second half of the fight.”
