KSI has cast doubt on whether Mike Tyson will ever step into the ring to face Jake Paul – as he also took a dig at his arch rival.

YouTuber-turned-boxer Paul was scheduled to face heavyweight boxing icon Tyson on July 20 in Texas.

But the 58-year-old great boxer withdrew from the tournament as a health precaution after suffering from a stomach ulcer.

The controversial fight has now been rescheduled for November 15 – with Tyson claiming he is better than ever.

But KSI disagrees, as he blames weight differences for their bitter match.

He told SunSport: “Obviously Jake’s going to keep putting on weight because he’s just looking forward to the fight with Mike Tyson – which I still don’t think is going to happen.

“I think they’ll try to make a tough test, and then eventually Mike will realize he can’t really fight, and then I don’t know what they’re going to do.

“But for me, for Jake’s fight, I’m just going to wait. I don’t really need to chase him, eventually he’ll have no choice but to come to me.

“He’s just not trying to get involved. He’s in a bit of an awkward position, so I think it’ll probably be easier for him if he just leaves it alone.”

Former UFC star and bare-knuckle boxing champion Mike Perry, 32, came in for Tyson, but Paul knocked him down three times and stopped him six times.

But KSI said it was a box office flop compared to his pay-per-view events.

He said: “I don’t know if you know much about Jake Paul’s last pay-per-view, but they had less than 50,000 tickets bought.

Mike Tyson, 58, punched Jake Paul before a boxing fight while the 27-year-old YouTuber pushed him.

“He had less than 50,000 buys. That’s terrible. For someone like him, he likes to claim he’s the A-side, he’s one of the biggest drawers in the world, less than 50,000 is terrible.

“I don’t think I’ve ever done that. So, I know my worth. I know what I can do. And I know what’s the smart thing to do.”

KSI was scheduled to face Anthony Taylor and Slim Albahr in a thrilling two-on-one boxing bout in Dublin on August 31.

But he suffered a serious hand injury and was forced to drop out of the competition.

Chart topper KSI will still perform at the 3Arena in the Irish capital to give his fans their money’s worth.

He said: “I got injured during the camp but it’s one of those things I’ll take advantage of.”

“I always like to look for the positive side of things. So when I got injured, I started thinking, how can I still be a part of this Misfits?

“So I thought why not just perform. So I think my audience will still be able to see me performing to some extent, obviously not boxing, but doing music.

“And there will also be a chance to see me as normal. I will still be doing commentary during the show as well as singing some new songs and some old songs.

“So all-in-all, it’s going to be a great event. And that’s what I wanted to make sure was the case.”
