Manny Pacquiao is returning to MMA later this month to take on MMA star Rukiya Anpo in a catchweight bout.
Anpo is a former K1 super-lightweight champion as a kickboxer, but his bout with Pacquiao will take place under boxing rules.

Pacquiao was originally scheduled to face Chihiro Suzuki, but that bout was canceled and the fight with Anpo was decided instead.
Pacquiao vs. Anpo will be fought under ‘special status’ rules. One would assume that this means boxing rules will apply, but there has been no confirmation of that yet.
The catchweight will be 152 pounds and the fight will be three rounds of three minutes each.
When will Pacquiao vs Anpo take place?
- Pacquiao will face Anpo on Sunday, July 28.
- The bout will take place at the Saitama Super Arena in Saitama, Japan.
- The main event starts at 5am (BST), but the main event will take place much later than that.
- The ring-walk time for the main event has not been confirmed yet, but it is expected to take place at 10 am (IST).
