Boxing debut
She made her boxing debut against Tasha Weekender on September 23, 2023 in Newcastle.
Talking about her journey from being a ring girl to a boxer, she said that initially she was not familiar with the hardships of boxing.
She said: “The first time I felt this fear was when I was driving to my first sparring session.”
Despite her initial fears of being punched in the face, Carla found that the experience of being punched increased her determination and enthusiasm even more.
After her win against Tasha, she said she was offered more matches.
“I’ve been working hard to get to this position like everyone else. It’s been really tough,” Carla told SunSport.
“It’s weird, because I know I’m not that famous.
“But as soon as I won my last fight, all the unknown girls started proposing to me.
“The best part was a girl was waiting outside my hotel room and shouting that she wanted to fight me.
“I didn’t think getting a second opponent would be this easy or this much fun!”
Competing with Nikki Hru
Ahead of her Misfits Boxing lightweight title fight against Nikki Hrue, Carla was vocal about her confidence and disrespect for her opponent.
Carla made it clear that she did not value Nikki’s boxing skills, describing her as an “annoying actress” and saying that she felt Nikki had been blown out of proportion.
He believed that Nikki’s acting background did not translate into effective boxing abilities and predicted a decisive victory for her.
Carla told SunSport: “I don’t think she’s a good fighter.
“I’m from real boxing, I’ve seen real boxers, and I… she’s an actress, and she looks angry and plays the part, but I think people got caught up in her hype.
“As far as his actual boxing skills and even cardio, I mean… there’s a lot of things he doesn’t have.
“No disrespect, but he’s not going to know what hit him.”
