Tyson Fury and Oleksandr Usyk could face off in London on Saturday night.
The heavyweight pair last faced each other on May 18 in Saudi Arabia, where the 37-year-old Ukrainian veteran became the undisputed world champion after a stunning contest.
The rematch is set to take place on December 21 in Riyadh, but the veteran pair are set to clash at the O2 as fans watch Dereck Chisora and Joe Joyce take on each other.
Usyk beat Joyce as an amateur and Chisora as a professional, while Fury, 35, has fought hundreds of rounds with the Putney juggernaut and beaten Del Boy three times.
Crimean king Usyk is set to be ringside in Greenwich as he arrives from Paris where he is helping Ukraine’s national boxing team at the Olympics.
And Fury is in talks to visit Morecambe after returning from a well-earned family holiday.
“I spoke to Tyson this morning, he’s back from holiday with all the kids,” promoter Frank Warren told SunSport.
“Tyson could be coming for the fight on Saturday night – and Usyk is definitely coming as well because he’s just over the channel at the Olympics.
“I spoke to Tyson and he said he would try to come down, he definitely wants that.
“But with so many kids – and another one on the way – he has to use his time away from fights and camp to take on the role of father and husband.”

Fury wasted the first three rounds, showing off, when he should have taken advantage of Usyk’s slow start.
But the 6ft 9in Morecambe master caused a sensation between the fourth and seventh rounds, raining down uppercuts and hooks on the right-wing boxer with a gap between his teeth.
But he broke his nose in the eighth round and fell through the ring and to the canvas in the ninth and lost by split decision.
Afterwards, Team Fury’s corner work was analysed and father John’s dominance proved devastating as he shouted at experienced and respected trainers Andy Lee and Sugarhill Steward.
Thankfully, Warren suggests this debacle will not be repeated.
“They know they have some things to sort out,” the Queensberry boss said. “And they will get sorted out.
“If he repeats what he did in the middle rounds, he will stop Usyk.
“After that I went into both dressing rooms and – hand on heart – I could see the difference in the damage and Tyson was in a much better condition.
“Tyson caught him with a couple of shots and then Usyk caught him on the nose but Usyk was beaten down after that.

“Tyson likes to show off – I wish he wouldn’t – but it’s part of his style and temperament, he’s a showman and that won’t change even at 35.
“They need to sort out the corner, they need just one voice, not ‘voices’.”
