An MMA bout featured a sensational double knockdown that included a brutal “nut shot.”
Heavyweight duo Tim Johnson and Danilo Marques compete in the second round of the Professional Fighters League’s 2024 play-off season.

And fans got more than they expected in the first round when both players fell to the ground at the same time.
Johnson landed a brutal overhand right jab to drop Marks.
But at the same time the Brazilian player landed a powerful kick which hit his American opponent.
Both went down and got up looking equally confused – and fans were left stunned.
One said: “Wow! This is the first time I’ve seen this in MMA! That’s crazy!”
Another said: “A historic moment in our sport. Left hook + nut shot double knockdown.”
One joked: “This might be the funniest moment in MMA history.”
Johnson was given time to recover and eventually won that round.

This gave them six points for stopping in the first round and they advanced to the PFL Play-offs.
Now, the final four contestants will compete for a spot in the finals for a prize pool of $1 million.
Johnson revealed he had no idea what had happened after the simultaneous knockdowns.
He said: “I didn’t even realise I had fallen to the ground. It hurt really bad. It was definitely the worst injury I’ve ever had to my back.
“I didn’t know. I just heard everybody booing, and I said, ‘Excuse me guys, I’ve been kicked in the groin. I’m trying’.”
“But then I found out they were booing Danilo.”
