Aamir Khan has priced his luxury wedding venue in Bolton at £12.5 million.
The boxing legend made the announcement about the “Dubai-style” venue on social media on Friday morning.
In his post, the 37-year-old said: “I am looking to sell my wedding hall for £12.5 million.
“The property has four floors, three of which are dedicated wedding floors and a rooftop terrace for events.”
“Additionally, there is parking for 200 vehicles on both the front and rear sides.”
The stunning venue, called “The Ballymena”, is located opposite a car wash and fly-tipping site in Bolton, which in January was littered with broken fridges and dirty mattresses.
Khan had at one point expressed a desire to hold boxing events there, but now it appears he is happy to make the dream a reality as he has invited interested parties to get in touch via email.
According to reports the cost of building the hall on Dean’s Washington Street is put at up to £14 million, although Khan’s wife Faryal Makhdoom has claimed the couple spent £15 million on the project.
The venue’s banquet hall – which first received planning permission in 2013 but was delayed – spans 44,700 sq ft, where the first lavish wedding was held in May.
Former unified light-welterweight world champion Khan expressed his happiness after the first contest, saying, Location North West“It’s a great feeling, the wedding hall is now open and a wedding has taken place there for the first time.

“Now the bookings are full and a lot of people are calling. I think there will be more interest and I truly believe it is one of the best wedding venues in the country and I am confident it will do well.”
However, one local resident told The Sun: “I’m also worried it will cause a lot more traffic. It’s a concern because a lot of families have more than one car and we already have parking problems.
“It’s a strange thing to create such a grand wedding venue for hundreds of guests.”
Another resident said he had no choice but to keep his windows closed to avoid the noise last Saturday.
During the final stages of construction, there were incidents of widespread fly-tipping around the hall – with a record number of incidents in Bolton in 2023 – which left Khan’s wife extremely upset.
while talking to The Bolton News In May 2023, he said: “We’re trying to make Bolton a better place. We’re building a huge wedding hall and have spent £15 million on it.
“Aamir could have chosen any place, but he chose Bolton because it is his hometown.”
“We are creating a nice place so it is very sad to see that people still leave rubbish and other things around and every time we pick them up and clean the area, the same thing happens again.
“So, we are trying to do something for the community and people are not helping. I want to say on behalf of myself and Aamir, keep Bolton clean and try to help him.”

Khan has hinted that he may make a boxing comeback in a blockbuster fight with YouTuber-turned-boxer KSI.
He was originally scheduled to return in 2022 but failed a drug test on the night of the fight and was forced to go into retirement after serving a two-year suspension, arguing he did not intentionally take the banned substance.
