But the Irishman’s clash with Michael Chandler in Sin City was officially postponed this week after it was revealed he suffered an injury in training.
White and his team of matchmakers immediately moved to change the fight and booked a rematch between Alex Pereira and Jiri Prochazka for the light-heavyweight title.

SunSport has learned McGregor’s injury is not serious and he could be back in the game within two months.
August 31 is the date set for the rescheduled return of Mack, who has not stepped inside the Octagon in nearly three years.

McGregor, 35, was devastated to miss his first match since breaking his left leg in his trilogy fight with Dustin Poirier in July 2021.
But the UFC’s first simultaneous two-weight world champion is adamant he will be back in the Octagon before the end of the year.
The Dubliner wrote on Instagram: “It’s so tough to be ruled out of my scheduled comeback fight.
“I suffered an injury before the press conference, which took longer to recover than the time I had available.”
“The decision to postpone the fight was not taken lightly but was made in consultation with my doctors, the UFC and my team.
“My fans and opponents expect the best from me in this fight and we will get there!
“Thanks for the messages of support, I’m in good spirits and I’m confident I’ll be back!”
